Divine Intervention: The Enemies You See Today, You Will See No More.

The school bell has rung, class is now in session.

Delusion is a true state of mind and according to the Cambridge Dictionary, it means believing things that are not true. There are times we experience this ailment ourselves, but that is not what this post is about. I have been meaning to write about this topic for months. The original burden began after I read the Book of Exodus, Chapter 14. This passage charted the time that God delivered Moses and the Hebrew People out of Egypt after 400 years of slavery. Before escaping, Moses continued to plead to Pharaoh to let God’s people go. Pharaoh finally relented after God caused ten plagues to happen in Egypt towards the Egyptian People.

Imagine! It took ten plagues to get Pharaoh’s attention before he agreed to release the Hebrews from captivity.

Guess what Pharaoh decided to do after they were down the road, he changed his mind and got his army together to pursue them. sMh

This is how enemies are, relentless in their pursuit against us. Even after being defeated time and time again, they still believe they can eventually defeat us. (Delulu)

As Pharaoh and his army got closer to Moses and the Hebrew Children, they got concerned because they came face to face with the Red Sea. Here is what happened,

13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

Suddenly a cloud of wind separated the Egyptians from the Hebrew Camp, and the Egyptians only saw darkness. This allowed time for a strong East wind to blow through the Red Sea until the ground was dry so that they could walk across. After the Hebrew People were almost across, Pharaoh and his army was able to see and ran headfirst after the Hebrew People.

Unfortunately for them, the Lord removed the wheels of their chariots which made it more difficult for them. When this happened, Pharaoh realized that God was truly fighting for them and that they were no match, so they decided to turn around, but were too far into the ocean. When they realized their error, it was too late to reach the shore and they drowned.

Conclusion – Encouragement

As you face your opposition, this passage of scripture was meant to encouraged you to not be afraid, stand firm and be silent. Even though it is natural to be afraid when your back is against the wall, you must remind yourself not to panic, but seek the Lord instead. As you encourage yourself, remain in faith that He will deliver you from your situation. Last be not least, be silent, do not “run your mouth” to everyone about your fears and situation, instead turn to the Lord because it is He who will fight the battles that are outside of your control.

The school bell has rung, class dismissed.
